These direct mail pieces do a couple of things (notice that they went out over a period of weeks): they introduce the candidate to people who may not be following the election closely, they set the stage for more personal voter contact at the door and over the phone, and they remind voters about that more personal contact after it's happened. Working together the different pieces - mail, door and phones - help build a case in a voter's mind to vote for our candidates.
